U.S. Senator Rand Paul to deliver address to DuPage GOP
Presidential candidate to keynote Lincoln Day Dinner

Lisle, Ill. – The DuPage County Republican Party is pleased to announce that U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be the keynote speaker for its 54th Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

“We’re very excited for U.S. Senator Rand Paul’s visit because it will officially launch the 2016 Presidential Primary for DuPage Republicans,” said Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, Chairman of the DuPage County Republican Party. “For that and many other reasons, we are especially honored to welcome Kentucky’s junior senator to our County.”

Dr. Rand Paul was elected as a part of the Republican wave of 2010. In the U.S. Senate, he has tirelessly fought for constitutional rights, individual liberty, and limited government. He also has built an independent profile, which can connect with many different groups that usually don’t vote Republican. Recently, Senator Paul announced his 2016 presidential campaign.

“Our party needs a vigorous exchange of ideas so we can pick the best candidate to win back the White House. The approaching primary is the perfect time to see this energetic debate,” said Chairman Ruscitti. “That’s why we hope to secure as many presidential candidates as possible for future events leading up to March 15, 2016, Primary Election Day.”

The 2015 DuPage Lincoln Day Dinner will also recognize State Representative Patti Bellock with the Mary Jo Arndt Award for Public Service. “This thrilling event will be a great occasion to honor our dedicated statesmen and energize us Republicans going into the primary. And most importantly, it will help ensure that the DuPage Republican Party will have the necessary resources to win in 2016,” said Chairman Ruscitti.

Over 800 people are expected to attend, including Governor Bruce Rauner, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, U.S. Senator Mark Kirk, State Comptroller Leslie Munger, U.S. Representative Peter Roskam, state legislators, countywide elected officials, township party chairmen, precinct committeemen, business leaders, and local citizens.

The DuPage County Republican Party will hold its annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel at 3000 Warrenville Road in Lisle.  Cocktails start at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m.
