DuPage GOP elects Krajewski as new chairman
DuPage board member to lead county Republican Party

Wheaton, Ill. – The DuPage County Republican Central Committee released the following statement to announce that Brian Krajewski was elected to succeed Darlene Ruscitti as chairman.

“I am honored that my fellow precinct committeemen have entrusted me to lead the Republican Party in DuPage County,” said newly elected DuPage GOP Chairman Brian Krajewski. “The enthusiasm displayed at tonight’s convention was remarkable. I’m confident that our party will be able expand our support and win elections across the County in November!”

With the backing of outgoing DuPage GOP Chairman Darlene Ruscitti and many township organization chairmen, Krajewski was elected by acclamation by the Republican precinct committeemen assembled for the 2016 biennial DuPage Republican convention. 18th Judicial Circuit Court Clerk Chris Kachiroubas of Elmhurst was also elected to the position of Secretary.

“Brian has the right conservative values, forward thinking vision, and campaign experience to lead Republicans to victory countywide,” said former Chairman Ruscitti. “I know that he’ll continue to build on our past successes and make sure DuPage County remains a Republican stronghold.”

Krajewski currently serves as a DuPage County Board Member from District 3. He was elected to the Board in 2010 and reelected in 2012, and previously served as Mayor of Downers Grove from 1999 to 2007. He also served as Chairman of the Downers Grove Township Republican Organization from 2005 to 2016. Krajewski is an attorney and resides with his wife in Downers Grove.

The DuPage County Republican Central Committee is comprised of over 500 precinct committeemen elected by the Republican voters of their respective precincts across DuPage County, as well as Republican elected officials, volunteers, and grassroots activists from throughout the area.
